Aurelia was my dear paternal great-grandmother. Her first child was her daughter, Dolores, my paternal grandmother.

According to family stories, Aurelia Guerrero Martinez, was the daughter of Vicente Guerrero (a Mexican) and his wife, Juana Martinez (also Mexican). Supposedly she had a twin sister, Dominga. At the time both were born on January 10, 1870, Vicente Guerrero may have been engaged in war, and around those years, he was possibly killed in battle. We were told that Aurelia's mother married three men: Vicente Guerrero, the Mexican, Julian Bermea, a Spaniard, and Antonio Magnon, a Frenchman. DNA points to Julian Bermea being the biological father of Aurelia.

At the time of her birth, her father, Julian, was 28 and her mother, María, was 31. Aurelia married Edward Fish Chubbuck Hill (Pool) [from Pennsylvania of English descent] on March 18, 1893, in Porfirio Díaz, México, Mexico. They had seven children in 13 years. She died on September 10, 1950, in Del Rio, Texas, at the age of 80, and was buried there.
