In February, 1879, Mr. Frantz came with his parents from Pennsylvania to Great Bend, Kas., where he lived ten years. He then moved to Fillmore County, locating on the farm where he died. Mr. Frantz was a prosperous farmer and enjoyed the respect of all his neighbors.
He is survived by four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. H. J. Bortner of McCook, Mrs. Ida Nieman of Carleton, Mrs. Cora Toren of Geneva and Miss Rosa Frantz of Geneva; Lewis Frantz of Soldier, Kas., and John Wesley Frantz of Geneva; a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at the home Friday afternoon, May 31st, Rev. H. G. Langley of Superior, former pastor of the Geneva Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery.
