Elwood--Mrs Eva Mae Groover, 66, of 1617 South K Street, died Thursday noon at the Dickey Nursing Home after a four-year illness. She was born Jan 25, 1903, in Sheridan, to George and Della Boyer. She was married in 1923 to Murvel E. Groover, who died in 1967. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elwood.
Survivors include a son, William Groover, of Elwood; five daughters, Mrs Wilbur Reiman, Mrs Roland Tumulty, Mrs Geneviene Simmos, Mrs Bertha Carroll, and Miss Claribell Groover, all of Elwood; a sister, Mrs Opal Smith of Elwood; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
The family will receive friends at the Clark Chapel, where the services are arranged for Saturday at 3:30 p.m.. The Rev Ed Finley of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery.
