Vetrie Elizabeth Milby, 75, of Carter Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville, after an illness. Daughter of the late Johnnie Walker and Mattie Paxton Wayne, she was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Dollar General Store. She was married to Edgar T. Milby Jr., who preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, one daughter and their spouses, Eddie B. Walker, Donnie and Janet Milby, Larry Owen and Brenda Milby and Diane and Jerry Carter, all of Campbellsville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two brothers and two sisters, Wayne Walker of Louisville, Buford Walker and Dean Carter, both of Campbellsville, and Laurine Beauchamp of Owensboro. She was also preceded in death by one son, David Lane Milby; and two brothers and one sister, Clifford Tom Walker, James Walker and Mary Louise Dickerson. Funeral was at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Milby Cemetery in Green County, Ky. The Rev. Clifton Hale and the Rev. Charles Hazelwood officiated. Pallbearers were Brandon Milby, Jason Milby, Jesse Carter, Russell Carter, Jim Bogues, Chris Ambers, Allen Pike and Donny Owen Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Milby, MacKenzie Milby, Dustin Carter, Dylan Carter and Marshall Bogues.
