Daisy Lefeber, 91, a former Kiel resident, died Sunday morning, Oct. 19, 1986, at Calumet Homestead, New Holstein, where she had been a resident for the past seven years.
The former Daisy Oakley was born Dec. 27, 1894, in the town of Charlestown (Calumet County), a daughter of the late George and Mary Merrill Oakley. She attended school in Charlestown. She married Joseph Lerch in April of 1913 in Jericho. He died October 1, 1921.
In 1925, she married Edward Schneider. He died in October 1955.
Mrs. Lefeber married Casper Lefeber Feb. 14, 1956. He died Feb. 23, 1973.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, its Christian Mothers Society, and was a former member of Kiel Homemakers and the Kiel Garden Club.
Survivors include a son, Sylvester Lerch of Kiel; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Muellenbach of New Holstein and Mrs. Gordon (Janet) Richter of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two brothers, Chester Oakley of Fond du Lac and Donald Oakley of Chilton; and a sister, Mrs. Violet Phillips of Clovis, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.
A funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Leannah, pastor, officiated. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Chilton.
