She attended Auburn schools, and was a 1945 graduate of Edward Little High School. Following her education, Josephine worked as a bookkeeper for Morin Brick Yard and the Auburn Water Department. She retired in 1982. During retirement, she and her husband, Rick, traveled most of the continental United States and Canada by both motorcycle and RV. Josephine was most proud of her children, and her entire family.
Survivors include her husband, Richard "Rick" Chisholm, of Auburn; two sons, Blaine Hodgdon and his wife, Wanda, of Auburn; and Jeffery Hodgdon and his wife, Pamela, of South Paris; several step-children; one brother, Francis Steele, of Auburn; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Thayne Hodgdon, in 1975.
CHISHOLM - Josephine M., 83, of Auburn, died in Lewiston on Oct. 16. Memorial services honoring her life will be celebrated on TUESDAY at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with teh Rev. Dodi Knight presiding.
