Elfrieda (Fritzie) Loehnertz, 79, 3060 Quinney Rd., Chilton, died July 7, 1994 at Chilton Village Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born in the town of Chilton on June 2, 1915, the daughter of the late Peter and Emma Heimann Loehnertz. She was a graduate of the St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac and served in the Army Nurses Corps during World War II and later was employed at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, and Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
She is survived by two brothers, Alois and Sylvester Leonard, both of Milwaukee; four sisters, Rose Leonard and Mary Loehnertz, both of Chilton, Gertrude Leohnertz, Milwaukee and Mrs. Melvin (Margaret Weiss, Glenbeulah; 18 nieces and nephews; and 26 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Pauline and Sister Mary Constans; three brothers, Constant, Quiren and Alvin; a nephew, a great niece and a great nephew.
In accordance with her wishes, Fritzie’s body has been donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin.
The Wieting Funeral Home in Chilton assisted the family with arrangements.
