Passed away suddenly from a drowning accident on Saturday, June 14, 1975, at Kluane Lake, Yukon Territories, Fredrick Alexander Postoloski at the age of 41 years. Born on July 6th 1933, he grew up and attended school in Vauxhall area. As a young man he was active in 4-H Club work and also had a avid interest in fishing and hunting. He worked in construction with heavy equipment. His love of the outdoors led him to work in the Pincher Creek area where he met Eleanor (Kate) Shearer and they were married on June 30th, 1973. making there honeymoon trip to the Yukon they decided to make it their home where they purchased and operated the Bayshore Motel. Mile 1064. Alaska Highway, Yukon. Fred was prececeased by his father Cassian in August 1969 and an older brother Alexander F. Postoloski (age 4-1931)
He is survived by his wife Kate ; stepaughter Linda of Vancouver, stepsons, Randy, Monty, Marty and Tracy at home. is mother Minnie Postoloski of Taber, Brother Ed (Brenda) Postoloski, 3 sisters, Gladys (Peter) Forchuk of Vauxhall, Jean (Milton) Waddle of Taber and Kathie (Ron) Friesen of Vauxhall. Memorial servces were held in the Parkview United Church, Vauxhall, Satuday, June 28th at 8 p.m. by Reverend Ray Heffelfing. In liew of flowers friends who wish may donate to the charity of their choice.
