Ann D. Arthur, 91, Bradenton, died Jan. 14, 2003. She was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Fulton County, Ga., and came to Bradenton in 1973 from Toccoa, Ga. She was a homemaker.

She was past president of the Stephens County Hospital Auxiliary in Toccoa and formerly served on the Board of Council of Auxiliaries of Georgia. She logged 2,000 hours of volunteer service at Manatee Memorial Hospital. She volunteered at Westminster Asbury Towers and the former Suncoast Nursing Home in Bradenton, now known as IHS at Braden River, for three to four years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton and helped with its Vacation Bible School.

Survivors include a son, Guy B. III of Fairfax County, Va.; and one grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Shannon Funeral Home, Town Chapel. Interment will be at Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto, following the service. Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton, 1402 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, FL 34205.
