Genara Garcia, who went by the name Annie was the daughter of Espiridion and Juana Garcia. She was born in Fresno California. She was raised and attended school in Fresno and later Reedley. Her mother passed away in 1937 from advanced stages of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Just three years later Annie herself would eventually succumb to her fight agains Tuberculosis after a 2 1/2 year battle. She was laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery to be close to her mother who is less then a hundred feet from her daughters final resting place.
