Mrs. August Becker, ??, (photo) nee Bertha Steffan, of 1013 South 20th
street, died early today.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the First Reformed
church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Becker was born in Germany and when a girl of 5 accompanied her
parents to this country. She was married here in 1883 to August Becker.
On April 21 Mr. and Mrs. Becker observed the 57th anniversary of their
marriage. Mrs. Becker was a member of the Germania society.
Survivors are the widower; son, Charles of this city; two daughters, Mrs.
Emma B. Ladwig, Mrs. Clara Swette, of this city; sister, Mrs. Frank Dueno
of this city; brother, William Steffan, Sr., of this city; eight grand-
children and three great grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Becker home from Saturday at 1 p.m. until
Monday at 10 a.m. when it will be moved to the church.
