Shaun Bailey, 48, who had been a resident of Dallas, Texas, for the last twenty-five years passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2005, while vacationing with friends. Shaun succumbed to a massive heart attack as they were deep-sea fishing in the Pacific Ocean. Shaun had a very outgoing personality and always enjoyed being with family and friends. He attended Heber Springs schools for his full twelve years and his college days were at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He always enjoyed returning to Heber Springs to be with family and had recently celebrated Mother's Day with his mother and attended church with her. Shaun owned and operated Go 2 Graphics in Dallas and always had an interest in Heber Springs. He was preceded in death by his father, Boots Bailey in 1994; his grandparents, John and Mary Ann Birdsong, Luther W. and Lucy Bailey, and special aunt and uncle, Luther and Pearl Birdsong. Those left to mourn his passing are his mother, Elwanda Bailey, and brother and sister-in-law, Shelton and Becky Bailey of Little Rock, as well as many friends.
Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with visitation with family and friends also at First Baptist Church Welcome Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening.
