LEXINGTON – Russell Abate, 76 died Monday, September 18, 1989 in Port Huron Hospital.
He was born March 16, 1913 in DuQoin, IL.
He married Ann Joba December 28, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Abate was a Lab Technician in the paint department at Chrysler Corporation. He retired in 1977 after more than 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Denis Church, Lexington.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; three sons, Russell of Novi, William of Hilliard , Ontario and John of Musquite, TX; three daughters, Sr. Rosemarie Abate of Detroit, Frances Ann Sroka of Novi, and Kathleen Cohen of Morgantown, West Va; two brothers John and Anthony, both of California; two sisters, Flora Sposato of Oak Park and Catherine Palazzolo of Livonia; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held September 21, 1989 at St. Denis Church, with Rev. Donald Dueweke officiating.
Burial – Lexington Cemetery.
