After Sarah's marriage to Jacob C Leffler in 1851 in Burlington, the Lefflers, along with Arthur W Cameron and several other Leffler family members were part of the westward expansion to California. They traveled by ox drawn wagons to Stockton, California.

In 1856 Jacob and Sarah returned to Des Moines County and started a family.

After Sarah's marriage to Jacob C Leffler in 1851 in Burlington, the Lefflers, along with Arthur W Cameron and several other Leffler family members were part of the westward expansion to California. They traveled by ox drawn wagons to Stockton, California.
