Mrs. Addie Bishop Baxter, 85, resident of Snow Creek Road, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Lloyd Baxter, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Baxter Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Frank Bishop and Estelle Blocker Bishop. On December 21, 1937, she married Mora B. Baxter of Santa Fe. She was a member of Kettle Mills Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Mora B. (Bonnie) Baxter, Jr. of Santa Fe; one daughter, Alice Jean (Glenn) Mash of Hampshire; five grandchildren, Glenn Mash, Jr., Terry Mash, Bridgett Romine, Melissa Fudge, and Lori Hollis; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, June Baxter Flanigan, who died March 25, 1974; one brother, Marvin Bishop, twin sister, Allie Z. Collins; and sister, Mary Alice Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Mash, Jr., Terry Mash, Lewis Hann, Kyle Fudge, Kent Romine, David Page, and Charles Collins.
