Mrs. Ruth Griffen Jeter, 74, of 5206 Gwynn Oak Ave., Baltimore, Md., died yesterday at the Maryland General Hospital there. She was a former resident of Pittsfield. She was the widow of George Guy Jeter.
Born in this city on Aug. 4, 1887, the daughter of Anson C. and Charlotte Briggs Griffen, she was a Pittsfield High School graduate. For 10 years she served as librarian at Berkshire County Law Library. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Jeter had lived in Baltimore since 1937.
Friends may call at the Wellington Funeral Home Monday evening.
Services will be held Tuesday morning at the funeral home . Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery.
