Arrived from Scotland with his mother, brothers and sister in 1926. During World War II, he served as a Quartermaster, Supply Tech, in the 398th Anti-Aircraft Battalion. He saw action in Northern France, Germany and Central Europe. He married his wife Hannah in 1954 in New York. In about 1974, he and his wife retired to Victoria, B.C. In about 1978, they lived on Whidbey Island, WA, and lived in other locations in Washington State. His final residence was in the Dalles, Oregon. He worked for the railroad in New York and at the Post Office for many years in New York before his retirement. He loved to play the organ and had a great sense of humor.
