OWENS, Mary M. of Clio, age 81, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 at Community Church of God, 1215 W. Vienna Rd. Pastor Jim Horn officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and Thursday from 11 AM until 3 PM and 5-8PM. She will lie in state at the church on Friday from 11AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Mary was born on June 20, 1931 in Armoral, Arkansas to the late Dow and Eva (Lovett) Brock. She married the late Jess Owens on June 25, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in May 2, 2008. Mary retired from Fisher Body Coldwater UAW Local #326 after 28 years of service. She was a member of Community Church of God. Mary enjoyed jig saw puzzles and gardening. Surviving are: sons, Monty (Janet) Owens of St. Helen, Gary (Leslie) Owens of Clio; 7 grandchildren, Andrea (Mark) Jozwiak of Midland, Valerie (Ron) Olsey of Grand Blanc, Jason (Lisa) Owens of Mt. Morris, Deanna Wise of Clio, Nathan (Stephanie) Owens of Clio, Jamie (Kyle) Hayden of Clio, Jessica Owens of Clio; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters.
