Marvin Everhart, 96, of Morristown passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Born June 16, 1916, in Austin, Indiana, he was the son of Elisa Waters and Sabina (Stewart) Everhart. He married Valeria E. Allen on October 31, 1936, and she preceded him in death on July 14, 1996.

Survivors include his son, Floyd E. (wife, Beverly) Everhart of Manilla; daughter, Gloria D. Ellis of Morristown; brother, "Buck" (wife, Mary) Everhart of Morristown; 11 grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Lester L. Everhart; daughter, Elsie L. Head; brothers, Floyd Everhart, Ernest Everhart and Virgil Everhart; and sisters, Elsie Everhart, Oletta Everhart, Pauline Peacock, Ersa Lowry, Eliza Engleking and Lila Avonell.

Mr. Everhart was a farmer and had worked at Caldwell Gravel for over 30 years.

He loved motorcycles and pulling tractors.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at the funeral home, with Rev. Michael Smith officiating.

Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
