Thomas Meck, life resident of Burlington and Burlington freight house employee, died at St. Francis hospital at 10:40 last night after being in failing health for 3 years.
He was born here Sept. 16, 1884 and attended public schools of the city. He was a member of St. Luke Evangelical church. Mr. Meck married Miss Meta Schmidt Nov. 28, 1911. Six children were born of this union, one son, William preceding his father in death.
He is survived by his widow, five children, Helen, Maybelle, Ruth, Thomas and Harriett; three brothers, George and John of Burlington and William of Pasadena, CA. and two sisters, Mrs. Luther Wever of Burlington and Mrs. Sophia Hodges, Los Angeles, Calif.
Funeral arrangements will be made later. The body is at Unterkircher's funeral home.
