John Meck, 53, life resident of Burlington, died at 9:15 o'clock this morning at his home, 1718 Des Moines Avenue. He had been in ill health for some time.
He was born in Des Moines county Oct. 28, 1886. His wife preceded him in death 20 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Golliday and Mrs. LaMonte Petersen of Burlington; a son, John Jr., of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Luther Weaver of Spring Grove, Ia., and Mrs. Sophie Hodges of Los Angeles, Cal.; two brothers, George Meck of Burlington and William Meck of Pasadena, Calif.
The body was removed to Unterkircher funeral home. Announcement as to services will be made later.
Mr. Meck was a World War veteran and also served on the Mexican border.
