Vonnie Mae Riley, 86, died Monday (May 21, 2007) at Community Hospital in McCook.She was born April 8, 1921, at Hiwasse, Kan., to William Albert and Thella Louise Duncan. She received her elementary education at Hiwasse before moving to Elgin, Kan.On March 9, 1938, she married Gilbert Riley at Sedan, Kan. They lived at Gravette, Ark., before moving to Imperial in 1948. They later moved to Cambridge and in 1955 they moved to Culbertson. In 1956 they moved to McCook, where they spent the remainder of their married lives.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gilbert on Jan. 27, 1991, five brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter, Lori Hoff.Survivors include two sons, Marvin Riley and wife, Shirley of Indianola, and Charles Riley and wife, Vivian of McCook; two daughters, Cleta Baumfalk and husband Eugene, of McCook and Sharon Meints and husband, Neal of Glade Park, Colo.; one brother, Lewis Duncan of Elgin, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Jon Albrecht officiating, Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
