Miss Fredericka Thaek. 70, passed away at St. Nicholas hospital at 2 p.m. Thursday of peritonitis from which she had been suffering since last Saturday. She was taken to the hospital yesterday and submitted to an operation but her condition was so weakened that she did not survive. Miss Thaek was born in Germany on November 21, 1854 and came to the United States with her parents,the late Mr. and Mrs. John Thaek at the age of eleven years. The family settled in Sheboygan and for a time Miss Thaek resided in Chicago. She returned here eighteen years ago and had since been making her home in this city. The survivors are a sister, Mrs.Herman Abitz, and three brothers, William and Herman Thaek of this city and August Thaek at Chicago. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Abitz, 815 North Fourth street. Rev. C. P. Schulz of Trinity Lutheran church will officiate and interment will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery.
