Mr. Callaway was born in Floyd County, Feb. 22, 1914, son of the late William J. Callaway and Alice Climer Callaway. Before retirement he was employed by Gulf Life Insurance Co. He was a member of the Wax Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Gladys McCarson Callaway, to whom he was married Jan. 13, 1934; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Wright, Rome, Mrs. Dorothy Lee, Ashburn, and Mrs. Betty Minter, Boca Raton, Fla.; a son, Charles Callaway, Silver Creek; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at the chapel of Henderson-Frazier Funeral Home with Lewis Norton, Frank Andrews, and Jerry Lee officiating. Interment will be at Floyd Memory Gardens.
