Erma V. Utt, 74, of Martinsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
She was born in Henry County on March 9, 1930, to Ellis Lee Vaughn and Annie Hollandsworth Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Utt; a son, Bobby W. Utt Sr.; a granddaughter, Tiffany Utt; a brother, Harry V. Vaughn; and a sister, Ruby F. Foster.
Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Miller and Pamela Howard, both of Martinsville and Sandra Hayat of Pakistan; three sons, Jerry Utt of Martinsville, Marshall Utt of Marion and Danny Utt of Bassett; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Ellie Lee Vaughn Jr., Johnny Vaughn, Buren Vaughn, Brogie Vaughn and Larry Vaughn; and three sisters, Eva Hickman, Marie Bell and Bessie Chitwood.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bassett Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today.
