Mrs. Nokes, a housewife, was born in Coxburg, Miss. She had been a resident of Ruleville Healthcare for the past 10 years, was a former resident of Schlater for many years and was of the Methodist faith. She was the widow of Herman Nokes.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 16, at Williams & Lord Chapel in Greenwood with the Rev. M.C. Jones officiating. Burial was in McNutt Cemetery in Schlater.
Mrs. Nokes is survived by one daughter, Martha Weeks of Boyle: two sons, Raymond Nokes of Scott, Morris Nokes of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Richard Rhodes, Jr., Phillip Rizzo, Paul Rizzo, Billy Nokes, and Curtis Counts.
Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
