On 7 Mar 1829, William H. Hamilton was appointed John Arisman's guardian by the court, and on 12 Mar 1829, John Arrisman was indentured/bound to Francis B. Howell for a period of about 5 1/2 years to learn the trade of paper making. He was to be released when he turned 21 on 21 Mar 1834. At the time he was the ward of William H. Hamilton. At the time of apprenticeship John was 15 years 11 months and 12 days of age. This info was taken from Warren Co., OH Apprenticeship & Indenture Records 1824-1832 by W. Louis Phillips. The witness was John M. Seely. Buried Bethany Church Cemetery, Warren Co., (No dates on marker) Company A, 35th Ohio infantry (Civil War).
