James F. Bailey died at home, in Peoria, Arizona on June 13, 2011.

Jim was born in El Centro, California May 24, 1925. He graduated from Central Union High School in June, 1943. Upon graduating he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He was commissioned 1st.

Lieutenant in 1944. After the war he returned to El Centro becoming a firefighter for the City of El Centro for six years. He married Wanda Le Fevre in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 13, 1950. They were the first couple married in the Chapel of the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. He worked for Union Sugar Co., in El Centro for 35 years. He owned two citrus orchards with partner, Don brock and also owned and operated Growers Aerial Service with partner, Jim Adkins. James and his wife moved to Arizona in 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bailey of Peoria, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Karen Bailey of Goodyear, Arizona; his grandaughter, Heather Sage of Henderson, Nevada; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia Ann Bailey, Alexander in 1982; and son, James F. Bailey III on June 6, 2011; and brother, Dan Bailey.

He is also survived by his brother, Richard Bailey of El Centro, California.

There will be no services. His ashes will be placed with his daughter at Evergreen Cemetery, in El Centro.
