Carl Boeckmann, 71, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning at the
home following an illness of 18 months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mittnacht Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. L. H. Koeninger will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Boeckmann was born Oct. 24, 1884, at Manitowoc, a son of the late Carl
and Ida Erdmann Boeckman. Shortly after his birth the parents moved the family
to a farm south of Silver Creek on South 10th Street, Manitowoc. He lived there
until he was 41, when he came to Manitowoc where he remained until seven years
ago. Since that time he resided with a sister, Ella and niece, Wanda, on
property adjacent to the homestead farm. He was employed for 11 years by the
American Seating Company and in 1925 started with the Invincible Metal Furniture
Co. as a maintenance man. He remained there for 23 years until retirement.
Mr. Boeckmann is survived by two brothers, John and Alfred of Manitowoc; two
sisters, Ella and Evelyn Boeckmann of Manitowoc and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
