Mrs. Rudolph (Erna A.) Jaehnig, 83, of Park Lawn Home, formerly 1901 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, April 24, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Jaehnig was born March 19, 1902, at Newtonburg, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Matthis Baryenbruch. She married Rudolph H. Jaehnig on August 14, 1920, at Newtonburg. She and her husband lived in rural Two Rivers for 20 years then moving to Manitowoc in 1954 where they have resided since. Mrs. Jaehnig was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rudolph; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Bernice Jaehnig of Mesa, Arizona, and James and Ruth Jaehnig of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and John Boyer of Alpine, California, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and then at the church from noon to the time of services. Memorials would be appreciated to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
