Mrs. Philomena Klein, 88, of 2702 Custer St., Manitowoc, died Friday, January 30,
1987 at Wild Rose Community Hospital, Wild Rose, Wisconsin. Funeral services will
be 9 am Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 9:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Ronald P. Reimer will officiate at the Mass of Christian
Burial and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Klein, nee Philomena Popp was born November 22, 1898 in the Town of Cato,
daughter of the late Michael and Barbara Spaeth Popp. She was married to Clarence E.
Klein November 11, 1919 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He preceded her
in death Feb. 20, 1970. Mrs. Klein was a member of St. Paul Parish Women of St.
Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Norbert Klein of Manitowoc; daughters and sons-in-law,
Cecelia Dashner of Port Washington, Delores and William Rehrauer of Two Rivers,
Mary Jo and Wilbert Crane of Wautoma, Patriciia and Ralph Stankey and Miss
Genevieve Klein, all of Manitowoc, Judith and Dr. Harry Schaefer of Kingman,
Arizona, Kathleen and Lee Brady of Fayette, Missouri and John Wilda of Manitowoc;
20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son,
Joseph Klein, two daughters, Margaret Klein Weber and Lucille Klein Wilda, three
grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 9 pm Monday, where
a prayer service will be 8 pm by Deacon Bill Klein.
