Mrs. Frank Mailand Sr., 57, of 709 South 22nd street, who suffered a stroke yesterday, died last night at the Holy Family hospital. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 o’clock at the St. Paul’s Catholic church, the Rev. Martin Jaekels officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. Mailand, nee Martha Popp was born in Cato in 1889 and 18 years ago was married to Frank Mailand Sr. They located in this city. Mr. Mailand died five years ago.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Harry Wetenkamp of Manitowoc Rapids, Martha and Marie at home; three sons, Raymond of this city, Frank Jr., and Joseph of Manitowoc Rapids; six brothers, Joseph of Newton, John of Rapids, George of Francis Creek, Henry of Denver, Charles and William of Cato; four sisters, Mr. Ignatz Franz, Mrs. Clarence Klein, Mrs. Frank Schemenske of this city, Mrs. Joseph Leiterman of Manitowoc Rapids and four grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 7 o’clock tonight, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
