BARBARA MLEZIVA
Mrs. Matt Mleziva, 70, of 623 N. Fourth St., Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon
at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. D. L. Krembs will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
She was born Barbara Mazanec April 25, 1883 in Cooperstown, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Matt Mazanec and in 1903 was married to Matt Mleziva. They located
in Cooperstown on a farm for six years before moving to Manitowoc where her
husband was a carpenter contractor. He died in 1952.
For the past year Mrs. Mleziva has resided with her son and daughter in law, Mr.
and Mrs. Lester of Manitowoc; daughter, Mrs. Louis Klocek of Chicago; and two
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. where the Rosary will be
recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
