Matt Mleziva, 69, of 623 North Fourth St., Manitowoc, a carpenter contractor
for more than 45 years, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at his home.
He arose at 7 a.m. and was preparing to sit down to breakfast when he was
stricken with a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Urbanek & Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Dr. C.H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian Church
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born in Franklin in 1883 and in 1904 married Miss Barbara Mazanetz.
The following year they moved to Manitowoc. Mr. Mleziva engaged in carpenter
contracting, later being joined by his son, Raymond. He was a member of
Carpenters local No 849.
Survivors are his wife, two sons, Raymond and Lester of Manitowoc; daughter,
Mrs. Louis Klocek of Chicago; brother, James of Withee, Wis.; two sisters,
Mrs. Wenzel Hynek of Manitowoc Rapids, and Miss Mary Mleziva of Manitowoc;
and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Friday noon.
