BERTHA R. STAUDT
Bertha R. Staudt, 92, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday, May 31, 1991, at
Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at Sacred heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. William Zimmer will preside
at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
She was born Bertha R. Swarts on September 4, 1898, in Suamico, Wis., daughter
of the late William and Elizabeth Vanark Swarts. She married Raymond J. Staudt
Sr. on April 22, 1919, at Flintville, Wis. The couple celebrated their 60th
Wedding Anniversry in 1979. He preceded her in death December 9, 1980.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Orin Clasen of Manitowoc;
six sons and four daughters-in-law, Donald and Doris Staudt, Robert Staudt,
Raymond Jr. and Marilyn Staudt, LeRoy and Delores Staudt, Wayne Staudt, all of
Manitowoc, Gerald and Marilyn Staudt of Oak Lawn, Ill.; three sisters, Sophie
Schmitt of Green Bay, Lillian Steeno of Green Bay, Irene Huben of Howard, Wis.;
22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in
death by a daughter-in-law, Alice VanDeurzen Staudt, and a sister, Ninievera
Calwarertz.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 9 a.m. Monday until the time of services.
There will be no Sunday evening visitation at the funeral home.
