Mrs. Thoke, nee Rose Seibel, was born Sept. 24, 1895, in the Town of Kossuth,
daughter of the late John and Mary Neuser Seibel. She was a Manitowoc area
resident all her life. She was married to Charles H. Tills in 1917. He preceded
her in death Nov. 11, 1947. She was married to Robert Thoke in 1962. He preceded
her in death Aug. 26, 1969. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and First
Lutheran
Women.
Survivors include two sons-in-law and daughters, Paul G. and Gladys Mahnke and
Kenneth H. and Bernice Mueller, of Manitowoc, a step-son, William Thoke, of
Michigan City, Ind., three step-daughters, Mrs. Louis (Betty) Mattice, of West
Allis, Mrs. Kenneth (Rita) Baker of Topeka, Kans., and Mrs. Richard (Clara)
Trout, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, John, of Clintonville and
August of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Smejkal and Mrs. Regina
Lensmire, of Manitowoc; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren, nephews,
nieces and cousins. A brother, Arthur and two sisters, Clara Blahnik and Anna
Radey, preceded her in death.
