Mrs. Irene Trainor, 68, of 1411 Hamilton St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10:30
a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Hephner will
officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Trainor nee Irene M. Quirk, was born Jan. 28, 1907, at Clarks Mills,
daughter of the late William Quirk and Emma Quirk Erickson. She was graduated
from Lincoln High School in 1926 and Manitowoc County Normal School in 1928.
She taught school in Calumet and Manitowoc counties until 1936. She was married
to Joseph H. Trainor June 23, 1936, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills.
Mr. Trainor preceded her in death Nov. 13, 1968. She was a member of Senior
Citizens and St. Boniface St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society.
Survivors include a son (survivor omitted for privacy.), her mother, Mrs. Emma
Quirk Erickson, and a brother, Herbert J. Quirk, of Manitowoc; a step-brother,
Herbert Erickson, of Shawano and two grandchildren, (Survivors omitted for
privacy.). A brother, Leo, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, where a wake
memorial prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. by Christian Mothers Altar Society
and friends.
