Jack "Pat" Patton Hicks was born in 1925 and died in 1984 at the age of 59.

He was married to Ibbie Victoria "Vick" Salyers Sims Hicks in Feb. 1944. From his marriage to Vick, he had one son, Jack Patton Hicks, Jr. He also had a step son, Curtis Gene Sims, from Vick's previous marriage to George Sims.

His Dad was Henry C. Hicks and his mother was Nannie Mary Lou Cindy Hicks (born June 27, 1905, died October 16, 1998.) His parents were from Russell County, Virginia.

Nannie's parents were James Patton Hicks and Ibbie Dell Salyers.

Henry's parents were Cowan Hicks and Betty Scarberry Hicks.

Pat worked for many years at Beaumont Learning Center in Powhatan, Virginia in the Maintenance Department. He enjoyed his job and was a craftsman when it came to making things from wood. Famliy members still have some of the cabinets and tables he made. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
