Peter Bobst, 88 year old sawmill operator and respected citizen of Beaver died at 8 am Friday at this home there after an extended illness. He was born near Beaver on April 7, 1869, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth Kuntzman Bobst. His wife, Elizabeth Neu, whom he married October 7, 1894, died in 1940. He retired as a sawmill operator in 1945. Surviving are three sons; Ray, Ezra and Earl Bobst all of Beaver; two brothers, Philip of Iowa and Chris of Beaver; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bobst was a member of the German Reformed Lutheran Church. Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Hammerstein Funeral Home in Beaver with the Rev Roy Locher of the Beaver Methodist Church officiating. Burial followed in the Beaver Union Cemetery.
