She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Earl Evans; son, Benje Evans (Lucy); and grandchildren, Amber and Jasmine.
Madine and her husband Earl worked for many years at the Shelby County Museum & Archives. The current President of the Shelby County Historical Society recalled how she helped move the old courthouse records (in about 1982) ftom the existing courthouse attic to the old courthouse (Shelby County Museum & Archives) where these valuable records are maintained today. Mr. & Mrs. Evans retired in about 2000 from the Shelby County Museum & Archives.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at Elliottsville Cemetery.
