Veta Sheffield is said to be the first born child of: James Thomas and Fannie Elizabeth (Conner) Sheffield. According to my information she was born in Hill County, Texas on April 13, 1903 and died Sep. 20, 1912 and was buried in the Santa Anna Cemetery in Coleman Co., Texas.

**NOTE: Information below was obtained from a close family member on; April 23, 2013.

~~According to my grandmother, Fannie Elizabeth (Conner) Sheffield, Veta is buried in the same plot as her parents and other siblings in the Sheffield family plot in the Santa Anna Cemetery. For as long as I can remember when we visited my grandfather, James Thomas, grave with my parents and grandmother, they would tell us who all was buried in the plot; but all did not have markers. Over the years some of the metal nameplates left by the funeral home have been removed or lost. At other times when we visited, we have found them in the surrounding area and returned them; but not all have been located.~~
