Mom graduated from Schell City, Missouri High School in 1942. She moved to Fort Scott, Kansas to go to nurse's training and become an RN. She met Dad there when he was a patient in the hospital. They got married on October 18, 1947. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Mom gave up her career as an RN for a more important career of raising her family. Mom and dad bought a house in Gladstone, Missouri in the early 1950's. They raised their four children there. They had 2 boys and 2 girls. Robert Dale Jr. born 02/28/49. Lenard Leon born 03/29/50. Marsha Colleen born 01/24/56. Cynthia Lou born 07/17/63. Mom played nurse many times through the years in the neighborhood. Everything from bee stings to helping with cancer patients. Mom was a very loving and caring person. Whenever people came to her house, she always tried to feed them. She touched many hearts and many lives. God bless you Mom as he blessed us all with you.
