Ira Blakely Coon, 66, Girard, Kas. died yesterday at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Mr. Coon was born near Mill Grove, Mo. and was a resident of Madison, Kas. and Fredonia, Kas. before he moved to Girard. He was a partner in the Ryan & Coon real estate and insurance firm in Girard. He was a member of the Masonic lodge Fredonia and the Girard Chamber of Commerce and a Methodist church near Princeton, Mo. He attended the Northeast Missouri State Teachers college Kirksville.

Surviving are his wife Mrs. Emma Coon of tne home, three daughters, Mrs. Mary Eaton, Neodesha, Kas., Mrs Caroline Baker, Fredonia, and Mrs. Ethel Lee Stickler, Trenton, Mo.; a son J. D. Coon, Gallatin, Mo. and two sisters Mrs. O. D. Butcher, Topeka and Mrs. Ada Wilson, Houston, Tex.

Services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday at the Dorsey chapel Girard.
