Anthony "Tony" Blount, 56, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Allan McDonald will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
A lifelong resident of Macon, Mr. Blount was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Dolena Gracie Blount, by his brother, Maurice Blount and by his sister, Patricia Blount. He was a graduate of Southwest High School. Mr. Blount was shipping and receiving supervisor with Boeing Aircraft Manufacturer, his employer for the past 30 years. He loved his family and was most at home in the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter.
Survivors include his father, Roger L. Blount, Jr. of Macon; his brothers, Nick (Angela) Blount and David Blount, all of Macon; his sister, Kelly Blount Wynne of Richmond Hill, GA; his nieces and nephews, Dennis (Mandy) Blount, Katie Blount, Matthew Wynne and Rebecca Wynne and his great niece and nephew.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
