Served as a private in Co. F, 130th Indiana Infantry.
Enlisted and Mustered in On 28 January 1864. Residence listed as Ossian, Indiana.
Mustered out 2 December 1864 at Charlotte, North Carolina.
He escaped being murdered by guerrillas on the banks of Duck River and Piney Creek in Hickman County, Tennessee, in November of 1864.
