Genevieve R. Timmerman
Genevieve R. "Jenny" Timmerman, 75, of 2424 Washington St., died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
She was born on May 10, 1929, in Dubuque, daughter of Albert and Violet (Hartnet) Burrows. She married Robert Timmerman on Feb. 2, 1957, at Summit Congregational United Church of Christ.
Genevieve was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Timmerman, of Dubuque; three children, Patti (Don) Neyen, Mary (Bob) Grant and Angie (Paul Schumacher) Kruser, all of Dubuque; 12 grandchildren, Kris (Mike) Duve, Kim (Scott) Digman, Mike Miller, Michelle Neyen, Stephanie, Stacey, Lindsey and Lisa Grant, Corey and Kendra Kruser and Paul and Ryne Schlosser; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, Megan, Allison, Chase, Madison and Logan; a brother, Donald (Joyce) Burrows; and a sister, Hazel Rennison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Lenice "Pepper" Kingsley, Lucille Manders, Catherine Ernzen and Yvonne Duddeck; and three brothers, Clyde, Harold and Clarence Burrows.
In lieu of flowers, a Genevieve Timmerman Memorial Fund has been established.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Finley Hospital Intensive Care Unit for all of their loving care.
