A memorial service for Dolly Dartez Downing, 77, of Monroe, will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, with Reverend Andy Myrick officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 21, 2012 and continue until service time under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Dolly was born May 27, 1935, in West Carroll Parish, and passed away August 18, 2012 in Monroe.

She was a member of Women of the Moose and Am Vets Auxiliary, was a cruiser, loved to travel, and was an avid bingo player.

She was preceded in death by her parents Noah Leville and Madelyn Omega Mullins, five brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Downing is survived by her husband, Ed "Mushy" Downing; two daughters, Zoé Dartez-Kean and husband Charles of Springfield, Illinois and Patricia Dartez Wilson and husband Douglas of Columbus, Georgia; two step-daughters, Carmen Downing and fiancé Larry Ballew of West Monroe and Billie Downing Rowland and husband James of Monroe; one step-son, Mark Downing and wife Martha of Redfield, Arkansas; brother, Evan Doyle "Eckie" Mullins; sister-in-law, Linda Mullins; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
