Jessie William Stokes, 59 of 1109 West 11th St Sheffield, died Monday after apparently suffering a heart attack.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County, a retired truck driver, and a member of Southside Baptist Church Sheffield.

Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm from Southside Baptist Church, Sheffield, by Rev Charles E. Maples. Burial will e in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery, Spry of Sheffield directing. The body will be at the residence until being placed in the church one hour prior to services.

Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Julia V. Stokes, Sheffield, 3 sons, Garland, Decatur, J.D., Florence, Ray, Jackson, MS, a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Sullivan, Tuscumbia, 16 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren.
Brothers O.C. Agee, Sheffield, Ben W. Agee, Colbert Heights, 2 half-sisters, Mrs. Effie Moore, Colbert Heights, Mrs. Virgie Northrop, Kissmer, Fl, nieces, and nephews

Bearers will be Grady Rose, Buddy Rose, Earl Moore, Raymond Moore, Leonard Moore, and Leo Terry
