TONETTA THOMPSON

Miss Nettie Thompson, 77, who resided with two sisters on route 1, Valders in the Town of Liberty, died at the home at 5 a.m. today following a lingering illness. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Valders with the Rev. N.A. Berntson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thompson, the deceased was born on her parents Town of Liberty farm in 1871. As a young lady she went to Chicago where she was employed for about 20 years, returning to Liberty in 1918 to make her home with her sister, Mrs. Clara Thorson. Never marrying, she had continued to live there since. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of Our Savior congregation.
Surviving in addition to the sister, Mrs. Thorson, are three other sisters, Miss Olga Thompson, who also resided with her, Mrs. George Gilbertson of route 1, Manitowoc and Mrs. Clarence Gilbertson of route 1, Valders. The body may be viewed at the Berge funeral home in Valders from 2 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday when it will be removed to the church to lie in state until the time of service.
