Mrs. Aletta Thompson, 87, of Hales Corners, a former Valders resident,
died Wednesday at West Allis Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church,
Valders. The Rev. Robert A. Onkka will officiate and burial will be in
Valders cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born Mar. 8, 1886, in Manitowoc County, daughter of
the late Mathias and Bergetta Geraldson. She was a housewife all her
life. She was married to Elmer Thompson who preceded her in death in
1957. Mrs. Thompson was active in church circles and was a former choir
director, Sunday School teacher and member of the Homemakers Club.
Survivors include a son, Pastor Conrad Thompson, of Rapid City, S.D.;
three daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Bergetta) Nelson, of Minneapolis, Minn.,
and Mrs. Roger (Almira) Myhre, of Hales Corners and Mrs. Art (Eva Jean)
Newall, of Park Ridge, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Stella Fitzgerald, of West
Allis; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three sons preceded
her in death.
Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, from 7 to
9 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday and from noon at the church until
the time of service. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church of
the Lutheran Vespers.
